10/13/04:

Oh my heavenly lord am I happy/excited today. But before I get to the big hitter let's list my day as it got better and better:

1. I get up groggily like I do four days out of the week at 7:20 AM for math class. BUT WAIT! Today's Wednesday, no math class! I shut my eyes happily at remembering this and go back to sleep until about 11:45-12:00(Noon).

2. I get up, go out, have some breakfast, and head back to the dorm. After only a few minutes of being back I get a phone call from EBGames saying that my new release Xbox game has just come in. Been waiting for it for so long now, and it's finally here!!!

3. I go on-line to Alienware to check my Speaker order status: My 5.1 Surround Sound, 280-watt speakers are on their way! According to the tracking number supplied in an e-mail to me they should arrive here on Monday!!! Yay!

4. I get to have dinner with my friends; although the table is extremely long so I was a little disappointed that I only really got to have dinner with the half at my end of the table. Oh well, my half was, of course, the cooler half anyways ;-)

5. (BIG HITTER!) My friend told me he was getting married, and that I was to be his witness. Yes folks, I was chosen because he says I am his best friend, and I truely feel honored to be his witness. He is saying that this wedding will be a small one, very spiritual, and won't be an officially recorded marriage written on paper. But the paper is not what matters, it's what's in the lovers hearts that matters and nothing else; remember that. Anyway, it will only consist of four or five people: the bride, the groom, the bride's witness, and the groom's witness (ME!). I'm not sure if there's going to be a priest-type there but I am very excited that of all the people he knows and are friends with that he chose me to be one of the very, very few people to attend his wedding, and even more so to be his witness.

Allow me to go further into detail on what being a witness entails. Each of the to-be-wedded writes out a vow, or a contract of sorts, saying what they expect from the other in the relationship, if I understand him correctly. Once written I will be presented with my friend's vow and will read it to the bride. By the way, when he told me I would be doing the reading I nearly had a freakin heart attack I was so excited. I mean, how often does one get to do something like this, huh? So after reading the vow the bride will I guess accept or not accept the vow. If accepted the bride's witness reads her vow to the groom who then does the same thing. Once all is said and agreed upon, a prayer is said and the two are joined under the eyes of God, as my friend worded it. I'm very much happy for him, and am thrilled to be apart of this part of his life. I can do nothing but continue to try to be the best friend I can to him and wish for nothing but the best for him and his beloved. So, Kev, best of wishes to you. You're my best friend Kev, and I will always be here for you. I will always be there to support you if you need it. Again, best of wishes to you, and to your love.

May your life always be happy.

Go ahead and call me a nerd, but gawd damn Java is an awesome programming language. I haven’t tried much of C++ yet, but I’m sure I’ll like that too. I don’t like HTML coding though, so I’ll have to endure learning that.

Anyway, here’s a little “blog” for me so far:

School is going great, friends are doing good, and the sun is almost always shinning here. Except for the rare occurrences of chest pains I’m doing great! So go to my bulletin board and post stuff and make me feel even better!! It’s under the forum section. Click on the html link “here” for the really good board, but you have to sign-up. The Bravenet board is no sign-up required I believe, but less sleek and stylish.
